The Doc is In!

On Tuesday morning children and their parents and caregivers snuggled up to watch an episode of Doc McStuffins and make their own stethoscopes and doctor bags. After decorating and filling their medical bags, the kids were able to meet with some of our resident stuffed animals who were feeling a little "under the weather". Everyone left feeling a little bit better!

If you want to read more or you're feeling a bit sick, here are some books to snuggle up to!

Power to the Parents and Caregivers

Newsflash -  The New York Times and Wall Street Journal ran articles on parenting issues. Didn’t catch them? Check them out in the links below!

The New York Times encourages new parents to get “appy”. Apps and Digital Tools Lend a Hand to New Mothers (published January 23, 2013), reviews apps and online services accessible on your computer, smart phone or tablet, that are helpful to the new parent.

The Wall Street Journal discusses the growing trend of stay-at-home male caregivers, in At Home Dads Make Parenting More of a ‘Guy’ Thing (published January 22, 2013). This article also gives ideas on creative and budget friendly activities for children and all the  grown-ups in their life to do together.
